What is a CMS?
A content management system (CMS) is a software or Web-based application (or system) used to manage and organize the content of a website.
Usually, a CMS has two elements: the content management application (CMA) and the content delivery application (CDA).
The CMA is the editing element that allows a user to create and edit content without a degree in Web design.
The CDA compiles the information to publish the website.
CMSs often make creating, editing, and publishing a website a DIY possibility for even website novices. Some popular CMS examples are WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and Wix.
